Description
Libby’s note ONE OF MY FAVES
Who it’s for: People curious about rope who do not want to start with scratchy hemp. Soft on skin, forgiving on knots, and it looks lovely. The gentlest way into rope.
Skip it if: You are already tying suspension-grade ties. This is play rope, not rigging rope.
Pair it with: Set of Bondage Restraints for when you want fast release, Blindfold for the person being tied, and a pair of safety scissors nearby. Always.
Not sure it’s right for you? Ask me – I read every message myself and I’ll tell you honestly if something else would suit you better. – Libby x
Silk-finish rope for tying. Softer against skin than jute or hemp, which makes it more comfortable for beginners and more forgiving of imperfect technique.
Good for
- Learning shibari and decorative tying
- Anyone whose skin objects to rougher natural fibre
- Couples starting rope play
Worth knowing
Rope is the most technique-dependent thing in this shop. Keep safety scissors within reach every single time, avoid tying across the front of the neck or over joints, and check regularly for cold, numb or discoloured hands. Learn from a proper tutorial rather than improvising.
